Research on environmental policies and laws and regulations: taking the opening up of Binhai New Area as the general background, in accord with requirements from the construction of ecological city, recycling economy and strict environmental admittance and polluting waste amount control, the centre research on the appropriate environmental policies, laws and regulations under the circumstance of rapid economic development in Tianjin.
Research on environmental standards: according to the requirements of improving environmental quality and reducing the amount of polluting waste, the centre researches and making local environmental standards fit for Tianjin¨s development, and establishes local environmental standards system.
Energy Efficiency Assessment: the centre is one of the first core energy efficiency assessment units approved by Tianjin government. It mainly works on the energy efficiency assessment of projects invested by fixed assets.
