The Research Centre for Water Environmental Technology of TAES has worked on water pollution control, water environmental and ecological recovery, recycling utilization of waste industry water for more than 39 years, and has complete water laboratory equipment and strong technology strength. The Centre¨s labs are about 500 square meters. It has more than 10 sets of large-scale equipment for analysis and testing, including Flowing Calcimeter, TOC Meter, Biological Poison Meter, and about 100 regular analyzers, which enable it to do all kinds of water environment related analysis and test. It has more than 20 sets of water treatment experiment equipment, including wet oxidation, RO Equipment, ceramic membrane, MBR Reactor, and can do all kinds of water treatment technical experiments. It also has many kinds of water environment and ecology modeling equipment, and is able to provide reference to decisions about basin and regional water pollution treatment and water environmental management.

Water Pollution Control and Treatment (Tianjin Project)
The Centre is now undertaking the special water program of the state key scientific and technological project ＾Water Pollution Control and Treatment (Tianjin Project)￣. The special water project is one of the 16 state key special scientific and technological projects in the State Long- and Middle-term Scientific and Technological Developing Plan, and with a fund of 4 billion Yuan, it is the most greatly-invested environmental scientific research program. This project will provide strong support to the overall development in the Haihe Drainage in Bohai Rim and, and improve the quality of urban water environment under the high-presure economic and social development.
